This policy applies to the websitedcmconstruction.be and to the data processing carried out in connection with our contact and quotation requests, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and the Belgian Act of 30 July 2018 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data.
2. Data collected
We collect only the data that you provide to us through the contact and quotation request form:
- surname and first name;
- telephone number;
- email address;
- locality of the works;
- description of the project.
This data is transmitted to us by email. The website offers no account creation and carries out no profiling.
3. Purposes and legal bases
- Responding to your contact and quotation requests · performance of pre-contractual measures taken at your request (art. 6(1)(b) GDPR);
- Follow-up of the commercial relationship and management of the works · performance of the contract (art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and the legitimate interest of the company (art. 6(1)(f) GDPR);
- Website audience measurement · only with your consent (art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), given through the cookie management banner.
4. Retention periods
- Contact and quotation requests (prospective clients): for the time needed to handle the request, and thereafter for a maximum of 3 years after the last contact;
- Contractual documents (accepted quotes, invoices, acceptance records):10 years, a period corresponding in particular to the contractor's ten-year (décennale) liability and to accounting and tax obligations.
5. Recipients of the data
Your data is processed by DCM Construction and, where applicable, by its strictly necessary technical service providers (website hosting, email). We never sell your data and we do not transfer it outside the European Union.
6. Your rights
In accordance with articles 15 to 22 of the GDPR, you have the following rights over your personal data:
- right of access;
- right to rectification;
- right to erasure;
- right to restriction of processing;
- right to object;
- right to data portability.
To exercise these rights, write to us atdcmconstruction19@gmail.com, setting out your request. We may ask you for proof of identity in order to protect your data. We reply within one month.
7. Complaints
If you consider that your rights are not being respected, you may lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (Autorité de protection des données, APD):
